A woman's work is never done!

I'm taking a break from all the moving in work!

Moving in is tiring

Progress on the house is coming along. It's funny, but you never realize how much stuff you have until you really start unpacking. So far today I've gotten work done on our bedroom, the guest room, the kitchen, the dining room, and the study. Plus I laid paths, planted trees, and moved mountains. Oh, and washed dishes.

Shoulda rolled up my sleeves

I probably should have rolled up my sleeves before I got started. I hate wet cuffs.

By the way, do you think my butt is getting bigger? I feel like I've gained weight since the wedding. Probably because I've caught my man now and I don't have to worry about it anymore, huh? Woo!

But all this exercise with the housework has GOT to burn some calories. I got on my nifty little scale that I picked up at the old Linden Lifestyles HQ back in the day and it said that I'm 127 pounds. So I probably burned off at least 100 calories raking leaves today! At least!

A woman's work is never done!!

I really should get back to work. I took some time off earlier to set up our computer desks, since I know Aldwyn won't be comfortable without a computer. [Okay, and neither will I.] I'm sure he'll be very happy to come home from work today and be able to relax and read Drudge Report and...

I had NOTHING to do with it.

Ummm.... Yeah, that was like that when I put it out.

Our house!

Yay! Our new house was finished tonight!

House!!!

It's a LOT of house! But if you have a good sized parcel and many prims available, like we do, then it's not so very bad at all. The trick will be decorating in both our styles, not just mine. Of course, Aldwyn is fairly easy going [except for the whole yellow thing] and he will most likely be okay with what I want to do. After all, who do you think decorated his entire beach house? :-p

What's really fun is that we received all kinds of household goodies and giftcards to furniture stores for wedding gifts. Using some of what we got is going to be great, because it will just remind us of our wonderful friends who shared in our day with us. :) I've already put up a wall decal, coffee machine, and picture frame that were gifts from friends.

As much as I want to decorate the inside of the house, I am probably more excited about landscaping! Autumn is really my favorite time of the year to decorate [maybe even more than Christmas!] and I can't wait to pull out all the pumpkins and hay bales! Usually I get all kinds of fancy for Halloween, too, and put up a haunted house and stuff. But I don't know if I'll do that this year. Maybe. We'll see.

Heck, between the house and all my decorating, I don't even know if there will be prims for a haunted house!

But then again, I am a whiz at decorating pretty low prim, so I guess we'll see how it goes. For now, it's bedtime.

Get Your Sexy On!

So hey! Guess what? You can get your freak on with some free SexGen! What's funny to me is that there are some people in SL who honestly don't know what SexGen is. I mean, let's face it. There are some better animations out there these days. I've used SexGen before, of course, but the animations never really fit me. I dunno what the avatar sizes are supposed to be to use it properly, but either I was too small or the guys I've been with have been too big [hee!] and it's never fit properly. Nothing like cuddles where his hand should be on your butt and yet is a foot away from your body!

But anyway, at one point, SexGen was king of the sexytimes. But I guess Stroker is leaving SL or something [there was some weirdness on his Twitter a few days ago] and now? He's giving away his SexGen program thingy for free! With full permissions! For everyone!

Ulaa and I skipped on over there to see what was up, making jokes that now we have ALL THE THINGS and we are going to make everything sexy! Sexytimes House! Sexytimes Garden Shed! Sexytimes Window Boxes!

Of course, based on the others we saw there picking up the thingy, sexy truly is relative in Second Life.

Everything Gets Sexy

The funniest thing happened right before we left for the night. This ... demon? type guy showed up. She simply couldn't resist messing around with him for a few minutes before we logged. He says his RL self is just like his avatar - INSIDE. Oh.

Ulaa and the ONE

Mmmm....melatonin kicking in.... gonna go to....zzzzzzzzzzz.....

Don't rain on my parade!

The honeymoon is almost over! Well, I mean, not in a BAD way. LOL! In that "We're about to start our home together" way. Tonight Aldwyn started to move out of his beach place that he's had for ages.

Moving Out

He's looking wistfully at the beach and thinking back to his carefree bachelor days. I'm back there yelling "Move faster!"

Ulaa has been building on a house and it's been my habit to usually live in whatever her newest build is, as long as it fits my needs/themes. Her new house is really pretty and I think I'll be able to decorate it well. She was less than sure of the outside color but once she put down the color she wanted, things started moving. But then she asked us what we thought about the inside colors. Al said it was fine except for the upstairs paper being a little girly, although he could live with that, and the fact that the kitchen was yellow. He hates yellow. I tried to persuade him not to rain on my parade and he was all, "No! If we have a yellow kitchen, I will divorce you!" And then he hit me and um.... like kicked me and.... yeah.

So Ulaa and I set about trying to find new wallpaper for the kitchen. I'm kind of old school/eclectic with my decorating, so the wallpaper we chose just makes me all kinds of happy in the pants because it's so fun!

New kitchen!

Awww, little veggies and fruit and stuff! We should have it by tomorrow or so, whenever she gets a chance to finish it up. Then the fun can really begin!

Oh, and I figured I would blog this and see if lightning strikes twice for me. :) We have a residential parcel available on Bluebonnet for hopefully a long term renter. [Long term meaning you plan on sticking around longer than a month.] 6256sqm parcel, 1431 prims. $2500L weekly rent. You are able to terraform and manage your access list. Plus if you super hate someone, I'll simwide ban them. The island doesn't have much lag at all, the neighbors are nice, and we're fairly quiet. If you're interested, please feel free to IM me in world and I'll be happy to arrange a time to show it to you!

Okay, bedtime!

The Girl Next Door

I've made it pretty much policy that the only renters on Bluebonnet should be people that I'm currently friends with. Only ONCE have I not done that, and it actually worked out REALLY well, thank goodness!! I've just always found that having my friends there means there's pretty much no sim drama, everyone is fairly quiet, and the place stays pretty cute. I'm not one of those "all up in your bidness" landladies. Pretty much anything they want to do with their parcel, as long as they're not being an asshole, they can do.

But that doesn't mean that I don't like going around and seeing what people are up to! I enjoy exploring around the island to see landscaping and decorations. [I don't go in houses/skyboxes unless I've been told I can. I know people say "It's just SL" but I think you should still be invited into private homes and not wander in like you have no home training.] Today I popped over to my newest residents' place. They had originally had a huge blacktop with a bomb and stuff, so I had to go check it out once I saw that they put a house down. And...I had to play in their sprinkler!

Playing at the neighbors

I hope they don't mind. I didn't smash the grass down too much or anything.

Aldwyn and I still haven't put up a house yet. I know where I want to put it when we get it, approximately, but I'm still not sure if I want to face it so we're looking at the off-sim stuff I bought for the wedding, or if we want to make that the backyard.

Holy shit! I've been married for one whole week!!

:-O

So i'm gonna shake and shimmy it with all my might today...

You know, way back before I was married [Well, like last week.] I was perfectly able to entertain myself for hours. I'm not the kind of person who allows herself to get bored very often because boredom, from myself or others, irritates me a lot! You can't expect other people to constantly be in your face making sure that you're amused. It's totally annoying to other people!

But, I'm only human, and I found myself a little bored tonight. Mmm...Okay, I'm lying. It wasn't that I was really BORED, it was mostly that I wanted something to do so that I wouldn't have to clean my inventory!! So I guess I didn't want to be entertained as much as I wanted to be distracted. And since Aldwyn put a ring on it, I figure that's pretty much like saying he has to be there to entertain me. I mean, I'm PRETTY sure that was in the vows.

However, he was busy playing with his new laptop speakers and NOT paying attention to me. I KNOW, RIGHT? So I set about finding random things to do. Heck, I even made the island flooded again because it makes me laugh so much when I do it.

Oh another flood

Luckily for Al [and the rest of the island], he logged in fairly soon after the flooding. Of course, he started the conversation with "How much trouble did you cause?" Grumble. We spent the rest of the evening in the gazebo dancing and talking. I love the nights we can spend talking about things that are on our minds for hours. It's never long enough to me. :)

Tonight he wasn't too lazy to dance

I still have to clean inventory, though. Al says he does, too. He suggested we get friends together to clean inventory. I think that would be fun! Well, as long as no one get all weird about seeing body parts, since the inventory cleaning parties I've had before usually led to a bunch of naked girls on posestands.

Hmm. We might need to think about this.

Tear It Down

All good things come to an end, and it was time tonight to pull down the wedding set and push down the wedding mountains. But I had to grab a couple more shots of everything because honestly? I don't think I'll be able to throw together something so pretty again! :-p

The spot

Our gazebo

Awwww. Good times! After picking things up and terraforming a bit, it seemed almost sad and empty!

It was pretty while it lasted

But I really was ready to push down the mountains because it made me feel very disconnected from the other Bluebonnet residents! The sim has never been flat, and everyone does their own terraforming, but it's always been open and stuff. My mountains made it seem like "NO. YOU DON'T COME IN HERE." and I totally didn't like that. However, I DID really kind of like the layout of the parcel as we had it for the wedding. I thought it was really pretty! So I ended up doing a modified version of the layout. It will take some work still, but is terraforming your land ever truly finished?

We're mostly waiting to set up a new house. Ulaa has been working on one and I think I really want to use it because it's big and beautiful and has lots of rooms for me to decorate. Aldwyn still has his land for now, so that satisfies me when I need to be in a house, but soon he'll completely move in with me and we'll need a nice big house for the both of us. Of course, he'd probably be just as happy living with me in an empty skybox, but that's not what I want!! Plus, we got a lot of nice household gifts for the wedding, and I want to put them out!

I think I want a housewarming party after we get a house and move in. Al got a grill for a wedding present, so we could do a BBQ! Oooh...I'm liking this idea...

It's time to hop into bed and think about parties!

That crab danced on his face

So until we start tearing down the wedding set in preparation for a new house, we're going back and forth between Al's place and my gameroom skybox. He was too lazy to dance with me tonight, though.

Too lazy to dance

Tonight was pretty awesome because I got one of my old friends back! We hadn't really talked in about 2 years and I missed her a lot! I think the funniest part about it is that both of us have been wanting to IM the other, but neither of us wanted the other to say "Get out of my IM, asshole!" But now I have her back on my friends list and my plurk and I'm totally totally happy. :)

In between the re-friending and Al playing 84,000 ringtones on his new phone, I started to do a little inventory cleaning. Oh, it's scary, y'all. I was inching back up to 80k and that is so not good. I think I'm about to have to be completely and utterly ruthless with it. I had almost 1000 demos just hanging out in there. Loads of notecards that I don't care about, and landmarks I don't need. I even still had a folder of stuff from Spirit. Remember that store? I don't know if it's still around. They used to sell dance and cheer wear. There's no reason why I needed to be hanging on to a cheer uniform from the movie Bring It On 3.

There's also not really a good reason why I needed a huge crab costume either.

I gave him one big crab

Of course, I can't really think of a very good reason on why I DON'T need it...

I still threw it away, though. Ruthless!

Wedding Pics!

I almost expected to have that "day after Christmas" feeling today. You know, when you feel kind of down because all the big festivities are over? But I totally don't! In fact, I think I may be just as happy as I was yesterday, if not even a little more so. I just feel good. :)

I have a few pictures to share! If you want to see more, we have a Flickr Group here.

Me right after putting my dress on. Hey, you try getting that huge skirt on by yourself and see how tired you feel!

Wedding Day - Putting on this dress made me tired

Our beautiful reception gazebo that Ulaa made for us. It's so seriously amazing!! I think she's going to sell it later but for now, it's still just mine. :-D

Wedding Day - Reception Gazebo

Our first official dance as husband and wife. :) We danced to "Dance With Me" by Orleans. Yep, Aldwyn picked it. He's old school. :)

Wedding Day - First Dance

My maid of honor eating some of our delicious cake. And our DJ, getting ready to play cake plate frisbee. LOL!

Wedding Day - Ulaa eats and Elle throws

In the middle of the reception, Ulaa's little one decided he'd had quite enough of the gazebo. I laughed so hard!!! I swear, I'm going to send him a present for making me laugh until I had tears in my eyes.

Wedding Day - The mysterious disappearing gazebo

LUCKILY, Ulaa had told me to leave the rez box out when we had first put the gazebo down, so it was easy enough [once we plowed through the grass] and the gazebo popped back up. But when we did that, we caught some of the guests! MINE NOW!

Wedding Day - Caught you

Just kidding, I gave them back.

And one more of us dancing. :)

Wedding Day - More dancing

Best day everrrr!!!

But I can't WAIT for us to start tearing down things and moving into our new house!!! That will come in time. Technically, we're still on the honeymoon! :)

Thinking before bed

Hi there! Aldwyn is getting ready for bed, but I got a second wind. You know how it is. If you don't go to bed RIGHT when you're tired, you end up staying up later!

Getting ready for bed

It's almost midnight, so my wedding day is just about over. I cannot remember having a happier day in SL EVER. EVER EVER. I don't have pics up yet, but I will get that done tomorrow probably. There are so many good memories, I'm just still flipping through them in my head, like the way you look through a well loved book.

You know, one thing that this wedding has made me remember is how much I enjoy non-fashion blogging. A lot of the time when I'm quiet in here, it's because I'm trying hard to keep up with my style blog. That's not always easy because I second guess myself a lot as far as my outfits and my photos go. I mean, really. Look at the feeds sometimes. Some people are AMAZING. It makes me doubt myself sometimes! But I started as a blogger who just talked about her SLife, and you know? I really enjoy it. So I think I'll do that more often. I'll still fashion blog, of course, because I do enjoy it, but I think I should spend more time on this blog and having fun in SL when it's not fashion related. :)

I'm yawning again, so I think it's time to snuggle into bed. Big thank you to everyone who truly made this the best day ever. Love you!!

We did it!

We did it!!!

Wedding Day - Kiss

The wedding was all I could have hoped for - and more!! I will have more pictures later, and a lot more to say, but we're about to start a new adventure together, and so I've got to go! Thank you to those who shared in our day, whether you were there with us physically, or sending good thoughts our way. We love you all and this day was made more beautiful by having you in it!

Wedding Day - Starting a new life

Wedding Day - Time to freak out!

How did this morning come so fast?!?! Am I sure everything is in place? Am I sure my makeup will look right?? IS HE EVEN GOING TO SHOW UP???

I'm going crazy and I still have 3 hours to go!

Day 1 - The final night

It's... it's.... IT'S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN! DAH DAH DAHHH DAH! DAH DAH DAHDAHDAAAAAHHHH! :-p

I'm quietly excited. Like, so excited that I can't even actually be that loud about it. Have you ever been like that?

Day 1 - The final night

I seriously have amazing friends. They've been sending Aldwyn & me gifts all night, even though we did not expect it at all! We've gotten kitchen appliances and things for the house and fun gifts to play with. I've been writing the names of people next to the gift so that I remember who sent what and I can send thank you notes later.

We spent a few hours tonight just making sure that everything was right where it needed to be. As long as everyone who needs to be there shows up, we should be golden.

My main worry at this point is that I might be feeling sick tomorrow. I got a flu shot today, and unfortunately that usually makes me feel sick for a couple of days afterwards. I will DRAG myself to the wedding if necessary, but I'm hoping I don't feel too awful so that I can enjoy it, you know? Of course, I don't think it's a huge concern because I'm going to be so happy, that will absolutely override any flu.

I can't believe tomorrow at this time, I'll be married. :) I really cannot believe it.

Aldwyn: I'll see you tomorrow.

Me: I'll be the one in white.

Aldwyn: And I'll be the one standing there waiting for you.

Day 2 - Starting to feel it!!

Okay. Honestly? I'm really starting to feel it now.

Day 2 - Starting to feel it

The excitement is building up inside of me, like ..

Oh for pete's sake. LMAO

[19:18] Alicia Chenaux: It's an afternoon garden wedding, so I wouldn't go all out formal, but anything pretty that you like should work. Please keep your boobs covered until the reception though.

[19:18] Heidi Halberstadt: FUCK

[19:19] Tymmerie Thorne: *changes her outfit*

[19:19] Alicia Chenaux: LOL!!!

[19:19] Elle Kirshner: even the DJ? or is there a DJ boobie exception?

[19:19] Alicia Chenaux: Oh, you can show your boobs anytime!

[19:19] Heidi Halberstadt: I vote for DJ being the exception.

[19:19] Ulaa Coronet: i love DJ tits

[19:19] Ulaa Coronet: more tips

[19:19] Heidi Halberstadt: There's always time for THE RACK

[19:20] Alicia Chenaux: Oh god. Someone's going to pull a strip pole out at the reception, aren't they?

[19:20] Sehra Kauffman: like... short dress or longer?

[19:20] Blackhawk60 Sikorsky: is it not good if i wear my freenis, i can hide it as long as people promise not to see hidden prims

[19:20] Ulaa Coronet: im gonna drop a tip jar i dunno about anyone else

[19:20] Heidi Halberstadt: Imma gonna wear mah silks

And that's what I have to put up with!!!

Anyway... LOL

I'm getting very excited. Every time I look at the benches, the altar, the gazebo, my heart just swells and flutters with happiness. I have re-read the words I've written to say to Aldwyn at the ceremony probably 20 times tonight, and each time I tear up a little.

I've had good and bad times in my SLife, as we all have, but never did I think I'd ever be this happy! It just feels RIGHT, you know? Just so so so right.

I think about the years I spent just passing through
I'd like to have the time I lost and give it back to you
But you just smile and take my hand
You've been there you understand
It's all part of a grander plan that is coming true.

Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart, they were like Northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true...
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

Day 3 - Finishing the vows

Ooh damn y'all. We are coming down TO it.

This evening I spent a couple of hours finishing my vows. I totally teared up while finishing them up, I'll admit it. Who wouldn't cry while writing nice stuff about their future husband?? :-p

Day 3 - Finishing The Vows

There's not really all that much to report today. We really finished up the main bulk of the shopping and stuff last night so today has been quiet. But we're heading into the weekend and I just know I'm going to start getting more and more crazy.

Actually, I was getting kind of nuts about the "Something old, something new" bit. My dress, shoes, and hair are new. I'll be wearing a very old pair of earrings from Flirt. My shoes are blue. But the something borrowed bit was troubling me. Luckily, Ulaa reminded me that Sixx loaned us the reception tables, so that totally counts as my something borrowed. Woot!

I keep having crazy dreams about the wedding. Night before last, I dreamed that we were at the church and Ulaa wasn't there. I kept running to the window to see if she was there yet and she wasn't. Then people I hadn't invited, like an old sorority sister and my RL Bestie and her hubby, showed up and I was struggling to add them to the access list really fast. Then when it was time to get to the altar, I took the wrong turn and got lost and ended up running all over trying to get up to where Aldwyn was. The minister was drunk and kept baptizing him at the altar. I don't know what any of that meant!! Then LAST night, I had another dream that I couldn't quite get to the altar and I kept trying to call, despite the fact that I was pretty close by. And then only 2-3 people showed up for the reception and I was so upset!

I really hope that these dreams are my way of working out any worries and that nothing like that actually happens on Sunday. Of course, when I told Al that I was worried about the whole getting lost to the altar part, he told me that if I got lost, he'd come and find me. Awww. That's my man!

Day 4 - Looking for cake, what do you think??

Heard during our shopping trip tonight:

Aldwyn: "What are you doing?"

Me: "Looking for CAKE."

---------

Me: "You're not the boss of me!"

Aldwyn: "Not until Sunday."

Me: *GASPS*

We have gotten much accomplished! Sixx was a dear and came and dropped us some tables & chairs, we bought the bouquets & boutonnieres, we bought the cake [which was bigger than I thought it would be!], I put out the champagne, Al bought the dance we'll use for our first dance, and then he proceeded to yell at it because it had hovertext.

Day 4 - Looking For Cake, What Do You THINK?

All that has to be done now is.... well, not much!! The music has been sent, I have shoes, we both have rings, we have the officiant, Ulaa has her dress, I have my dress, Al has his tux... We are zipping along here!!

I really wanted to thank you guys who have been following along, supporting us, and genuinely making us feel very loved. You guys don't realize how much it means to both of us! We hope to see some of you at our reception!! I know I haven't had a chance to meet everyone who reads my blog in person, and it really would be nice to see some of you at the reception. :) And hey, it's not a party until the sim crashes, am I right??

Day 5 - I Found Shoes!

Guess what??

I found SHOES!

Day 5 - I found shoes!

No, they don't come with the socks. I just happened to be wearing socks and I'm too lazy to get undressed sometimes. But yay SHOES! They're the flower pumps from G Field and the perfect color of blue and I love them and I almost never want to take them off because THANK GOD I FOUND SHOES.

Ooh, and!! Do you see the table back there? Sweetheart Jori Watler sent me a Greedy table!!!! Happy! I stayed up too late last night playing Greedy by myself. Playing alone is fun because I always win!!

I also got the ceremony music done and sent off to Elle and I'm almost finished reviewing the ceremony and vows and stuff so I can send back to Pam, but I need Aldwyn to take a look at it first before sending it so he's not just blindly saying "I do" up there.

Oh, he just did and said it's fine. Yay. One more thing off the list.

Actually.... all we have now to do is buy the flowers, cake, and set up for the reception. Woot woot!

We're watching Ulaa build the house we'll be using after the wedding. It's big and beautiful and I can't waittttt to live with my new husband!!!!

Monday, September 12, 2011

Day 6 - Meeting the officiant

We finally got an officiant!!!! Aldwyn has a friend that HE was officiant for years ago, and so she happily agreed to be our officiant. AND because she's done this before, she has taken a biiiiggggg load off of my mind! Thank you, Pamala!!!

Oh, and she let me play my first game of Greedy ever, too!

Day 6 - Meeting the Officiant

I did NOT win. But now I want a Greedy table. Why doesn't the Marketplace have wedding registries?

So... the invites have been sent, the officiant is taking care of some things for us, and she had us set up a group for the wedding party and DJ so she can talk to us as needed. Yay! You guys don't know HOW much this takes off my shoulders. I was so seriously stressed out about the fact that we didn't have an officiant and now we do, so woot woot!!

Tomorrow is simply HAVE to get the mp3s ready for Elle. That is my #1 top priority. And maybe we'll do bouquets tomorrow, too.

Gah. And I still need wedding shoes!

Sunday, September 11, 2011

Day 7 - Invites and Poseballs

I've been working hard today searching for poses and making invites.

Day 7 - Invites and Poseballs

I *think* I have found the pose I want for the inside of the invite. But of course Aldwyn has to agree to it. Whenever he is able to get on tonight, we have to do pictures. The invites HAVE to be ready to start sending out by tomorrow evening. If I can at least get the photos taken tonight, I can work on them tomorrow and put the invites together. The written part is done, I finished that earlier and showed it to Al. Well, one of them. I worded it differently in another one, so he'll have to help me choose. Either one will work. I'm debating on making reception invites but everyone we would invite is on plurk and it would be easier to just put out an invite there. Although...that's probably tacky. But easy! And who needs more inventory clutter, am I right?

I'm getting itchy, like I know Sunday will come and I'll be walking down the aisle barefoot to the wrong song and there won't be anyone to do the ceremony. Hell, I'll even write the ceremony out and all they have to do is copy & paste!

Okay okay okay. Tonight I'll take pictures as long as Al gets online before I go to bed. Tomorrow I'll make them pretty and put the invites together while I'm finalizing the ceremony music list so I can get the mp3s together to send to Elle. Then tomorrow night or Tuesday, we'll go decide on what bouquets we want. Wednesday, I'll finish my vows. I have the rough draft written but they have to be cleaned up and all. Thursday, I'll make sure that we have enough seats and everything is decorated exactly the way we need it. Friday... Oh shit, we need to do a rehearsal, don't we?! Shiiiiit. LOL I didn't even THINK about that. I know we've been engaged since June but this just seems like it's coming so fast!!!

AND I STILL DON'T HAVE SHOES.

Breathe. Breathe. Breathe. Breathe. Breathe...

Pre-Countdown

Quiet night for me tonight in SL, one of the last ones I'll have for a while. I know this much.

Thinking

Tomorrow will be one week exactly until the wedding. We are so not ready. We still need an officiant, and we need invites, and I simply can't decide on a bouquet. I have it narrowed down to three. I will probably have to drag my maid of honor over to make her stare at me with the demo bouquets until I decide on one. And you know what's even worse?

I don't have wedding shoes.

It's going to be a heck of a week! So starting tomorrow, I'll be blogging a wedding countdown every day until Sunday. If you aren't down with wedding stuff... well, I guess we'll see you on the 19th. LOL Or the 20th, just for good measure. :-p

I was sitting here trying to think of something that's going on in my SLife that isn't wedding related, but there's really nothing. Goodnight!

Thursday, September 8, 2011

So much to dooooo!!

It's coming down to it, y'all!! The wedding will be on September 18th at noon in a private ceremony with the public reception to follow. :) I'm SO excited! But oh god, there is SO much that needs to be done!!

1. Buy the flowers [bouquets & boutonnieres mostly]
2. Buy the cake
3. Put the ceremony music together for Elle [Did I mention Elle Kirshner is DJing for us? Excited!!]
4. Get some pictures done
5. Get the flippin' invites done!
6. Make the final guest list 7. Find a photographer
8. Find an officiant!!!

It doesn't look like a TON of stuff to do, but we really don't have that much more time. Not to mention we both need to write our vows and Al still needs to get his suit. [Done!] I'm getting a new skirt made for my gown because I was doing a walk down the aisle and looking at myself from all angles and the flexi that I loved while twirling around and dancing didn't look so good while I was walking. So Kouse is working up a new one for me that is more suitable for walking. :) We're not going to bother with those poseball walks. The aisle is long enough to just walk normally.

But you know, despite all the work that is going into this, the thing I'm looking forward to the most is the AFTERWARDS. No, not the honeymoon, you pervs. The marriage part. Having him in my partner box. Setting up a home together. I haven't shared an SL home with a guy in a long long time and the last time I did, I kinda sucked at decorating. LOL This time should be way better and honestly, living up on a platform is getting tiring.

It's a mess

Al logged in as I was writing, so we've been working on wedding stuff. But now I'm getting sleepy, so it's time to call it a night.

I'll give you the red light special

Yesterday, Ulaa kept telling me "I look like a high priced whore!" I figured she was probably right, since she usually does. :-p But then she came over to drop off wedding benches and her boobs were HUGE! HUGE!!!! She tends to go for a much more voluptuous look than I do, but she was wearing a corset that made me not be able to stop looking at her boobs. I guess that's the intention, huh?

Anyway, she told me she had bought a pose prop from oOo and I should take some pics in it. I like pose props a LOT and this one was pretty good. Al and I got the first pic on it.

Cochino

I really like the way the lighting came out in it. And let me tell you - if you're not in a good mesh compatible viewer yet, you are MISSING OUT. I'm wearing the mesh boots and shorts that I blogged in yesterday over in the style blog, and they just moved beautifully with most of the poses. I wish I could say all of the poses but even mesh has its limits.

Later, I got a picture of Ulaa and me. I'm the dark haired one. There seemed to be some confusion on that last night. LOL

Dirty Girls

And then while she was AFK, I caught one more of her. I like the way it came out, but pictures are really way easier if the person you're taking a photo of is pretty.

Cochina

Okay, breakfast time. I just thought you guys would like a post NOT about the wedding for once. ;) Oh, and because it's been in my head since last night...

The date is set!

It's a quiet evening for me in SL tonight, which is kind of nice. I'm just hanging out and listening to some old jazz and chilling. I needed this tonight, definitely.

Swinging

Sooooo.... we've got a wedding date!!!  And as soon as we set a time, I'll reveal the date. :)

We've decided that the ceremony is going to be just for us and our close friends and the Bluebonnet residents [who are pretty much all our close friends anyway!], and then the reception will be open for everyone who wishes to come celebrate with us.  It's not how I REALLY wanted to do it, but having stressed and cried over the guest list, wondering how we could invite people who actively hate each other to our ceremony, I just can't do it anymore.  Aldwyn and I love so many people who very very very much do not like each other, and it seems the longer we have been planning this, the more hate comes out between people [as shown this past week on plurk!] and we'd just rather not have our day with that kind of drama.  I hope no one gets hurt over this decision, but well...it is OUR day, after all.  I really shouldn't even have stressed out about this for even one moment, but I just wanted everyone to have a good time and share in the celebration with us without feeling like they need to teleport out immediately because so-and-so showed up, you know?  Our close friends have been wonderful and told us that no matter what, they are there for US, and no one else, so I am very grateful for that and for them. :)

I'm getting so very excited now that we have a date set!!!  I have been in SL for so long, and have had many good days,  but this is truly going to be the best day ever for me!

So now we have to get our invites made, buy the cake and flowers, write our vows, and find an officiant, photographer, and DJ.  There is not that much more time to get all of this done, really!  But it will get done.  The parcel is pretty much finished as far as decorating goes, and thanks to Ulaa, our reception gazebo and altar pergola are finished.  I think finding the DJ might actually be the hardest thing since I'm being all kinds of tight fisted about the ceremony music. LOL  And writing the vows might be hard for me...I tend to get long winded.  [No, really?]

I think I'm going to go to bed early.  I'm tired and no one is around to keep me up, so I can escape to bed! :-p
