I'm so so so gonna miss being on vacation when we go home on Thursday! It's really been awesome having the family around so much. :)
This evening, we're roasting marshmallows and doing stories around the camp fire on one of the docks. My sis is the best storyteller! We're still doing stories right now, so I'm back to listening!

Day 350 - Stargazers
We're having such a good time here on our vacation! I'm taking just a moment to blog. We arrived last night and we are staying in a beautiful place!
Tonight, we had our first vacation dinner of tropical fruits and...donuts. But I didn't touch the donuts. I'm healthy!
Once the sun set, it was time for STARGAZING!! We got to see constellations including The Big Dipper, The Dancers, The Bra, The Banana, and more!
I'm going to go enjoy some more time with the family! I hope everyone is having a wonderful and relaxing weekend!!

Day 348 - But REALLY...
Awesome day! This post is kinda picture heavy today, but I'm sure you all don't mind. :)
As always, Thursdays are BUMBLEBEE night! We start off every meeting with some exercise!
Tonight was Space Night! Takeo taught us all of the planets [even the dirty sounding one] and Lolita told a space story about aliens! Takeo and I helped during the story by doing some moves. I think we're just this much closer to Broadway, really. After the story, we gathered up our little Bumblebees and headed off into space!
I don't know how other troops do it, but we always have a snack at the end of the meeting. Since I'm the den mommy, I always get to come up with the snack. And tonight's snack was milkshakes!
Even though it was Bumblebee night, it was also PACKING NIGHT! I started packing before the meeting tonight. I SWEAR, everything is absolutely necessary. I mean, we're going to be gone from tomorrow night until next Thursday!
After the meeting, I went to see how Abby was doing with her packing. All of this is also necessary. Including the 25 pairs of underpants she's bringing. *snickers*
Before it was time for her to go to bed, she wanted to take a few things down. I just didn't realize HOW she planned on getting things down the stairs.
Aldwyn says she is totally my child.
But little girls need their rest, so we put her to bed so she can be bright-eyed and bushy tailed tomorrow. I ran down to the car to put a few things down. I think we might be in need of a bigger car soon.
By the time Aldwyn brought a couple of suitcases down, I had gotten my innertube strapped to the top of the car. I think he didn't quite understand the whole packing business. But REALLY...really... All of this is necessary!

Day 347 - Necessary
Do you ever let something annoy you long past the time you should devote any kind of attention to it? Something very minor happened yesterday to me and I've been chewing on it like it's an old nasty piece of gum that I just can't spit out. I haaate when I get into these little snits, but luckily it doesn't happen too often.
But it did remind me to be more appreciative of what's necessary in my SLife.
Like...my family! Tonight we went over to the Oleanders' house for Taco Tuesday! Abby tried to tuck some tacos away to bring home since I never cook. *laughs* My sister is way better at feeding her family than I am! We even had sundaes for dessert. Riley must have put a whole cup of sprinkles all over her ice cream. Afterwards, we headed out to the lawn so the kids could play and we could chat.
Takeo read a bedtime story to everyone about some mangoes, a monkey who was kind of a jerk, baby eating, and a crocodile who was not really down with mangoes. I'm sure their normal bedtime story reading usually goes better, but well, the Zanzibar side of the family is kind of...loud. We're sorry. [Not sorry.]
Ooh, I haven't mentioned it, but we're taking a family vacation to the Bahamas!! We have our plane tickets and passports already, but we have to shop and pack this week! Of course, Aldwyn and Takeo, being men, are basically taking just a ziploc bag of essentials. We girls are the ones who might need a separate plane to take all our gear! Does anyone know where to buy surfboards and waterskis that will work with kids, too? I'm just so excited for this trip! This will be our first big thing we get to do as a family and that makes it totally special to me.
But since we'll be leaving on Friday and coming back next Thursday, Lolita and Takeo wanted to get things for scouts set up in advance for this week and next week. That required a trip to get some things. While we were at the place, this girl showed up and just stood there. And stood there. Annnnd stood there. In her texture lingerie type thing and...TEXTURE BOOTS. She is over 7 years old but looked like she hadn't changed her clothes since her initial rez date.
And she plays Bloodlines. So there's that.
After saying goodnight to Lolita and Takeo, we settled into our skybox to chat until bedtime. This is also necessary in my SLife, time with Aldwyn so he can listen to me talk about whatever it is that is bothering me [or not bothering me. Really, I just tell him everything.] and I can relax.
But as you can see, I'm exhausted. Goodnight!

Day 346 - Happy St Patrick's Day!
I haven't been in the best mood the past few days. But tonight my sis planned a St. Patrick's Day scavenger hunt for the family. It is IMPOSSIBLE to stay in any kind of a bad mood when you're around this family. We had the BEST time running around and knocking into people and getting stuff! [Well. Okay. I knocked into people. The kids were way better at it than me.]
Then we went back to the Oleanders' place and had cake and posed for a picture!
I love them sooo much!! I am so so so lucky to have them as my family. They make me smile until my cheeks hurt! ♥

Day 345 - Just Like Heaven
I got some kind of not great RL news today. Oh it's not extremely horrible or anything. Everyone is alive and healthy enough and all that. But it's not news that we expected to come today. So I've been running around trying to help to get things in order for the next step. Things will be okay but my life will be different-ish for a bit until everything is settled.
I think that's when SL comes in really handy. First of all, my plurk friends? Amazing. SO supportive and a couple of them who are local to me had great advice and suggestions. And others simply had lots of virtual hugs for me, which are also awesome! Say what you want about plurkers, they are some of the most supportive and wonderful people in the world.
And of course, having my wonderful SL family is fantastic. I was able to come in tonight and dance with Abby and Aldwyn for a while. Then when she went to bed, she gave specific instructions to Aldwyn that he was to snuggle me tonight since I had a hard day. Bossy little thing. I don't know where she gets it from. *grins*
We have a radio station at our house right now that plays a lot of 80s-90s songs, and the song "Just Like Heaven" came on as I was taking this picture, so that's why the title of my post today.
But I have to admit, it was great to just cuddle and talk about all kinds of stuff with Aldwyn for a couple of hours after everything that went on today. It really was just what I needed. ♥

Day 344 - Bumblebees, Bubblebees!
Tonight was the first meeting of the Bumblebee troop! Our little bees buzzed around the beehive, and then took to the skies and became...Bubblebees!
Sorry for the poor quality of the photo. My graphics were cranked way down so I wouldn't crash too much since we had about 25 people on the parcel. But aren't they cute??
Have I even mentioned the whole scout thing in here? I feel like I probably only plurked it. Sim Scouts is a fun thing for the kids in SL to do. It's like Girl Scouts/Boy Scouts/Camp Fire. There are 6 troops with an average of 20 kids in each group and each troop meets for an hour on their meeting day. Lolita and Takeo are the troop leaders for the Bumblebees, and I'm the den mommy! They come up with all the stuff to do, and my job is to pass out band-aids and give hugs and also bring snacks. Tonight we had cupcakes and lemonade!
I think the kids really enjoyed the hour. I know I had a lot of fun listening to them laughing and coming up with answers to the "Getting To Know You" questions.
But... The troops and the leaders need new uniforms! Their shirts just don't fit very well at all for any of them, and the sashes are hard to edit. Makes me wish I knew how to do mesh. I'd whip them up something new in a heartbeat. But I guess for one day a week, it's okay. And being a den mommy, I don't have to wear the uniform shirt anyway, soooo... there's that. :)

Day 343 - Berry's Dirty Meme
So Miss Berry wants us to get dirty, and I love answering questions. But see...I don't consider myself a SEXY person. I'm cute. I'm funny. But sexy? Noooo. Which, if you've chatted with me about my past, and if you know that technically, I'm still a SLuicide Girl, you'd find it hard to believe. But it's true. I've played at being sexy, but in both lives, I'm reeeeally not. In fact, the older I get, the more I think that I'd rather everyone kept their nakedness in the house. *snickers*
Okay, on to the questions!!
What is your sexual orientation or do you not like to label yourself?
I'd consider myself fairly straight because I love men and have only ever wanted to be in a relationship with a man. But I have played around with women before. I was pretty experimental in my 20s. Well...and drunk.
Name a physical attribute that you find attractive or sexy.
I am a sucker for a good pair of hands. Big, well shaped, well groomed, strong hands on a man are sooo attractive! I also like chest hair because I like a man to be a MAN, not some little boy. I've also always been attracted to tall, big men, although my RL BF of 13+ years was shorter [although taller than me] and slimmer when we met. He's still taller than me. *laughs*
Are you promiscuous, a prude or in between?
I would definitely say I'm not promiscuous. Most people in SL would consider me a prude these days because I'm not flashing my gigantic prim boobs and my huge mesh butt all over the place, but I wouldn't consider myself one. I'm somewhere in the middle. I, again, just prefer that people keep their naked in the house. Although I don't mind talking about sex and stuff, I don't really enjoy seeing the porn parade that goes on. But, you know, that's other peoples' business and luckily it's fairly easy to mute if I don't feel like seeing it. :) And I hang out with people who generally feel the same way, so it's all good.
What turns you on?
That's a hard question for me these days because I have some issues that make my sex drive low. But, in general, if you can make me laugh, you've got me. I also like when a guy I'm with plays with my hair, like just brushes it off my face or tucks it behind my ear. [If my hair is loose. If it's braided or I have it up, please stay away from it.] I like being kissed on the inside of my wrist, too. Also, and this will sound superficial, but a cute little gift can sometimes get me going. Not diamonds or anything that will make me feel like I owe him. Just something cute that he saw that he thought I'd like.
Are you dominant or submissive?
Submissive up to a point. I like for him to take control, but I'm actually quite bossy most of the time. *laughs*
Are you into sexual roleplay?
I used to be. I guess I could still be, but it doesn't really come up.
Which sexual position is your favorite?
Berryyyyy!!! LOL! I like being on my back. Which sounds lazy, but there's a lot you can do like that!
Do you have any fetishes?
I loveeeee men in suits. Or dress uniforms. But mostly suits. Is that a fetish?
Have you or would you do porn, amateur or professional?
LOL!! Like...porn videos?? LOLOLOLOLOL! Actually, a longggggg time ago, my RL BF and I filmed ourselves while on vacation. Luckily we used a camera that had a mini tape, not digital, so I crushed and destroyed the tape when we got home.
Do you consider yourself sexy?
I already said no! And truthfully, I am quite okay with that. Not everyone has to be sexy, not everyone has to constantly make sexual references or prove their sexuality to others. Once in a while, I do wish I could be more sexy, but it's really not who I am inside, and that's okay. There's room for everyone in our great big world, even people who choose to keep their clothes on most of the time. :)

Day 342 - Follow Your Arrow
Such a fun fun night! It was my brother-in-law Takeo's birthday! And we celebrated with a secret surprise birthday party! It was a country party and I was the DJ. We had about 30 people show up during the party. Not that I really got to see anyone, but my sister has pics and gifs in her plurk, if you have her there. And tomorrow when I log back in, I'll take some pics of the party area. It actually came out super cute.
Before the party, Abby and I were getting ready, and I figured that would be a perfect time to get a picture of us. Especially since I have the cute pose prop from Click from The Arcade!
Isn't she the cutest? I love her so much!
I'm so happy we were able to spend some time with our family, extended family, and friends tonight. I'm definitely going to bed with a big smile and a lot of happy thoughts!

Day 341 - Hold On To This Lullaby
We don't often get to do tuck-ins in our house. Not for any real reason. Usually we'll just be busy right up until the moment someone needs to go to bed so we just get to say goodnight. Some nights we're not quite as busy and there's time for a quick snuggle before my little one goes to bed.
I've been meaning to take better pictures of us lately. It seems like I just get quick snapshots or grabilla screengrabs. And that's nice and all, but I'm a blogger! Shouldn't I have a ton of amazing photos of us? I guess it's true what they say - the cobbler's children go barefoot. *laughs*
But I was happy to get in a snuggle and send Abby off to bed. Then I got my own snuggle in before my bedtime. ♥

Day 340 - Restful
I spent a little time tonight working on our living room. It's really not done, and this is just a small part of it, but I like how it's starting to come along. The whole room is like this eclectic mish-mash of stuff and I love it! And I feel like it's really restful, even though we have a lot of brighter colors throughout the room. It's cozy! Or comfy-cozy, as my sister would say!
And yeah, I know, some of the pictures on the wall aren't fully rezzed. I could NOT get all the textures to stay rezzed tonight! Just when I thought everything was, poof! A couple of pics would go fuzzy, or the words on the frame would, or the tea boxes table would. Blah!
We've been having fun this week hanging out at the yard sale! We've gotten to talk to a lot of people and run around and just be goofy. It's been fun! There are still a lot of items out if you haven't completed your shopping lists yet. I've actually been buying extra stuff there just so I have another copy to put in other rooms. Aldwyn has rares, too, but they won't be out until probably tomorrow night. He would have done it tonight but he was yawning so much, I got bossy and told him to go to bed.
Speaking of which, I'm yawning like crazy myself. I've been trying to watch documentaries on Netflix in bed lately but I keep falling asleep before I finish anything. Do you like documentaries? Recommend some to me! Even better if I can watch them on Netflix! :) So since I'm yawning now, but not really sleepy sleepy, I think it's time to get in bed and see if I can actually finish the one I was watching last night. Goodnight!

Day 339 - Heart Full Of Rainbows
What a wonderful day our family has had! This weekend has really been awesome because we've gotten to spend so much time together hanging out at the yard sale. Earlier, Abby told us to just type "Wear" into our inventory and see what comes up. That's how I ended up looking like this.
Our family grew some tonight, too! The Oleanders asked Riley to go on trial with them! If you're not familiar with the whole adoption thing in SL, families usually go on a "trial" run with each other - usually about a week, sometimes longer or shorter - to see how they like being around each other, to see if the timing works, and just to see if they feel comfortable being family. If things don't work out, then the parents or the kid can end the trial and go their separate ways without too many hurt feelings. I think the trial will go really well because we've been hanging out with Riley a lot and she seems to fit in pretty well with the Oleanders, and with us, too. Our family is pretty tight these days - everyone has a say in things!
But sometimes a trial isn't necessary. And it wasn't necessary when the Oleanders invited us all to a tea party and then asked Payton, their goddaughter, to become their daughter!! She's been their goddaughter since October and we all just adore her, so when they planned on asking her, we were thrilled! Of course she said yes, because she's really been part of the family all along, it just needed to be official! Then we got to sit and vote on her new middle name because she asked if they would give her one, and if we'd left it up to Raven, she'd have been Payton Enchilada. LOL! But now she's Payton Victoria Oleander. :)
Best of all, Aldwyn came home from his trip tonight! Abby and I were totally happy because we missed him bunches. And, because he loves me soooo much, he immediately got to work on my Arcade wishlist!! He's FAST, too. I really really didn't expect him to get started on it tonight, but he practically finished the whole thing! He even managed to put some things out at the yard sale tonight before finally needing to pass out. Traveling always exhausts me, so I was surprised he even made it in tonight, much less had the energy to shop! I have the best husband.
Oh, and before anyone asks- No. Aldwyn and I are not planning on adopting any other kids right now. We're totally happy with Abby being our one and only kid. Plus, we only have a two bedroom house and if we got another kid, they'd have to sleep in the garage or out in a tent in the backyard! *snickers* I did tell Abby if she ever met another kid in SL that she felt would be a good sibling for her, we'd consider it. So uh, I guess if you ever wanted to be adopted by me, you better suck up to Abby a lot. LOL!!!
My heart is full of rainbows and sunshine tonight. :)

Day 338 - No shoplifters here!!
I've been putting all the kids to work. They spent most of last night in the yard sale area making sure there are no shoplifters. Don't let their small size and total cuteness fool you! They are fast little ninjas!
We had SUCH a blast last night hanging out at the yard sale! Tons of people stopped by and hung out and shopped. My sis has so much stuff out! I did a fair amount of shopping myself! Once Aldwyn gets home, he'll be adding to the lot, too, because of course there are still things I need. Although, I did put a big dent in my wish list last night just shopping off my sis and having her and Abby give me things. ♥
Speaking of shopping, it's time to log in and hit the yard sale!!
