I racked my brain for this week's post. Then I looked over to the side and saw I had 5 books from the library stacked up just waiting to be read and it hit me. I love reading!!
I've been reading from a very young age. I was 2 days past my 3rd birthday when my parents and I were taking a trip to Denver, and my mom said I was looking out at the billboards and read "VISA!" That should have been a sign, huh?
From then on, my life was filled with books, magazines, pamphlets...anything I could get my hands on. I read at an exceptionally high level and by first grade was already reading my sisters' high school literature books. [I still have one of them to this day, as my sister "lost" it. Truth is, we were both just in love with the stories in the book.] At 9 years old, I picked up Gone With The Wind for the first time, and to this day it remains one of my favorite books of all time.
I will read just about anything, although I'll admit to not caring much for science fiction and some fantasy books. I adore series books because I enjoy continuing on with characters that I come to love. As a kid, I devoured The Baby-Sitters Club books, Sweet Valley Twins AND Sweet Valley High, Ramona Quimby books, then later a lot of the VC Andrews series, Harry Potter, Left Behind, and currently I'm reading the Stephanie Plum novels, on recommendation from Sophia. I love chick lit books, classics, autobiographies... oh let's face it, I love reading!
I'm also really huge into reading magazines. Yes, actual paper magazines that I can hold in my hand. :-p
I also really like writing, too, but we'll save that for another Thursday when I can't think of anything else.

Great pic! :) I love reading as well, I even love the smell of a new book... or an old book.. love the sight of a nice stack of fresh unread library books. Love a new book by one of my favourite authors. yeah. Reading is as much prt of my life as breathing. <3
Great post.
Great post, I absolutely LOVE reading. In high school I used to read so much, I need to make some time for that again. Happy Love Thursday!
You and I have very similar reading preferences. I read all the VC Andrews books too. And I read Gone With The Wind *and* the sequel to it, which I also loved. Have you read The 5 People You Meet In Heaven? Might be a good one to add to your list... :)
I'm one of your regular blog readers, but I've never commented. I love to read too! The Stephanie Plum books are the best; Plum Spooky is the next book I'm going to read. I'm a big suspense book fan; I can definitely give some recommendations!
