Have I been keeping to my $5L a day rule? Kind of. There are days where I don't spend but a couple of $L and other days where I spend $7 or 8L. I guess it balances out in the long run.
One thing I have noticed is that men completely get screwed as far as decent freebies in SL. I have gotten a lot of great things like skins, hair, clothes and shoes. My skin right now that I am wearing a lot is a group gift from Dutch Touch, and I also wear the skins from Another Shop frequently. I also have skins from Chai and Minnu Model, and other nice stores. I think I have a couple of rip offs because they look too good to be free but I haven't really looked at all the higher end skin shops to know all of them. I have clothes from all over the place, and nice sculpted shoes. I will admit I wear some shoes that look like Chucks most of the time but those are shoes I purchased when I first started here in SL, like my AO. I have hair from lots of different stores. Since my initial investment here in SL, I've spent very very little.
But I see a lot of guys, especially at my "home," that just look new new new and they are not not not. Why aren't there nice things for free for men? Am I just missing the good male freebies? Or are men doomed to walk around SL looking like noobs with bad skin and bad hair until they shell out some real money?
Alicia's Tip Of The Day: Join groups for your favorite stores. You never know when they're going to give away a great gift, or inform you of a sale.
